Well not really, though the media is going out of their way to mention that it happened in an apartment complex near a college.

Fresno CA.

A man was arrested in suspicion of shooting three people over a Playstation console. Two were injured, one died. The shooter was confronted by the three men, who were “providing evidence” that he stole from their apartment. One thing lead to another and the suspect opened fire.

The details are pretty shaky right now, but all the news sites and television stations have made sure to mention over and over that it was over a video game console, and it happened near a college. Thanks for sparking more fear and hatred into the world, media. Im sure Jack Thompson will have a field day with this.

Original story

In Austin, Texas a man was arrested for placing a nail bomb (with some 2000 nails) bomb outside of an abortion clinic.

The explosive device also included a propane tank and a mechanism “akin to a rocket”, Austin police Commander David Carter said.

The device was discovered on Wednesday in the car park of the Austin Women’s Health Centre, police said.

The Texas Joint Terrorism Task Force - made up of federal, state and local law enforcement authorities - arrested 27-year-old Paul Ross Evans, who authorities said was on parole for an unspecified crime.

Evans was charged with violating federal laws banning the manufacture of explosives and interfering with access to an abortion clinic. He appeared before a federal magistrate and was being held without bail.

A robot was used to disarm the bomb after the unmarked clinic building and an apartment complex were evacuated, police said yesterday

Maybe he doesn’t like people giving up their children?

Seeing as how people, and Americans in general, have an obsession with having homes that are 2,000-3,000 and beyond in square footage it was really nice for me to see this article. It’s all about a house that only has 96 square foot. However when you look inside at actually looks fairly comfortable.

This dream house is the love child of artist-builder Jay Shafer, who lovingly hand-crafted it. The stainless-steel kitchen, gleaming next to the natural wood interior, is outfitted with customized storage and built-ins. From his bed, Shafer can gaze into the Northern California sky through a cathedral window. In his immaculate office space, a laptop sits alongside rows of architectural books and magazines — many featuring his house on the cover. And from the old-fashioned front porch, he can look out on a breathtaking setting: an apple orchard in full bloom.

But in an era when bigger is taken as a synonym for better, calling Shafer’s home a dream house might strike some as an oxymoron. Why? The entire house, including sleeping loft, measures only 96 square feet — smaller than many people’s bathrooms. But Jay Shafer’s dream isn’t of a lifestyle writ large but of one carefully created and then writ tiny.

I really enjoyed this article. We as a people no longer believe in simplicity it seems. Huge homes, huge cars and infinite junk we don’t need seem to be our only interests and obsessions. I think most of us could learn a thing or two from this guy. Having more doesn’t mean being more or doing more with your life, it’s best not to get caught up in the material things.

And on top of that it takes up so much less space allowing for more plants and open soace.

Now this article is absolutely hillarious. Basically a woman was tricked into having sex for nearly 9 months by a man claiming he had to apply cream for her vaginal condition with his penis. Either he’s really smart or she is reallllyyy damn stupid.

A Syrian-born airline pilot allegedly tricked a schoolteacher from Haverfordwest into having sex with him by pretending he had to administer ointment on the end of his penis, a jury heard yesterday (Tuesday).

Fadi Sbano, 38, even pretended to know a gynecologist who advised him on how often to have intercourse with her and whether to thrust “slowly or quickly”. And, on the “doctor’s advice”, he kept a clock on the bedside table to time the sessions.

The teacher put up with the treatment for nine months before telling her doctor.

Humanity rules.

I just watched a really interesting video called Money As Debt. It’s very interesting and really explains what is wrong with our financial system and banking in general. I highly recommend this.

Chrono Trigger… 3D?With the recent success of Final Fantasy Advance on the GBA and Final Fantasy III 3D on the DS, Square-Enix has a new business model. A very…nostalgic business model. They are apparently remaking all of their old games again. So what will this mean? Will Cloud Strife have to come back to destroy Meteor and stop Sephiroth once more? Will Kefka once more roam the land of the living? What about the other games, such as Chrono Trigger? Will they become 3D as well?

Only time will tell.

Yeah, Id shit myself too if WWII ended up like this. Here is Code Guardian, 5 years worth of amazing computer animation from Cee Gee Productions. I would never have the skill or dedication to make a video like this.
